Wife came home with this $4 shelf from Ikea for some craft project. Well, I am taking it to put in my deer blind instead. Checked it and it holds binos and coffee mug perfectly.

it has two screw slots recessed in the back so pre drill two short screws into your wall and slide it over them. Sits flush on the wall.
