Pulled into the driveway to the range, saw the coyote 12 o'clock from the truck, paused, grabbed the rifle, opened the door, coyote takes off to my right. While the coyote is moving, I moved forward toward the gate to use the gate to get stable. While I move forward there is a bunch of Johnson grass between me and the coyote, I moved forward to get to my gate for stability. I picked a rung to rest the rifle, made a wide stance, on both feet, tracked the coyote on the move, saw her pass by the 200 yard berm, then slow her pace. I decreased the lead I had, got a sight picture on her head, and squeezed off a round. When I drove down to her I found that I hit her in the right eye, literally dead eye center.

One of two of my favorite animals to ventilate. The other is hogs.

Nice shooting. Practice pays off.

The steel is the training media, to prepare for opportunities like this.

I have a pic of one I got directly between the eyes at 262 yards with my 25-06. I haven't laughed that much since.

Nice.

An unethical shot is one you take, that you know you shouldn't.

Nice shot!!

Steel doesn't move like that, so training opportunities exist, but your expertise in shooting made the shot!
