I do need a sheep fix...later this month. Thanks to SheepHunter for helping to do some scouting on a Mouflon to hunt and I think I found a Great Urial to hunt (not the one in the pics)

Very impressive growth. I would have expected it to be less at that age. Hope you do this again at 5 1/2 years of age!!!

I will have some rare sheep on the ground in the next few months.

Some blue sheep,eastern & western tur

Probably be harvesting the WR Nubian Ibex as well

Eddie,
This is a ram being used as a Breeder by someone I know. So he's in a smaller pen with ewes and being fed very well (protein and minerals). I think the feed has a lot to do with it as this ram is probably eating a lot better than a ram that is turned out on a large ranch even if there are feeders.

I've heard that if you remove all native forage from the animal and feed it strictly a high protein diet, that you can increase horn and antler growth significantly.
