It's been a long time since I've had a pup. I have a male golden lab, half Golden Retriever/ half Yellow Lab. 9wks old. about 13 lbs at present.
1. I've been feeding 1/2 cups of 4cycle puppy food 3 times a day?!
2. Has learned sit, hear is sketchy and somewhat with stay, but fetch?! 2-3 times but practically no interest after that. Not too concerned about the fetch, I'm hoping as he ages he'll get more interested?! any idea's on how to go about it?
3. Are there any "retriever training" near me that won't break the bank? I'm in East Texas near Henderson, Tx.

Thanks for any help!

He is still an extremely young puppy. 2-3 retrieves a day is plenty. You want to leave them "wanting more." You can watch Bill Hillman on youtube and his series about "building retriever desire." But keep in mind your puppy is only 9 weeks old and you will have plenty of time. Don't let them get bored with retrieving. It needs to be fun for them at that age.
