The Turkey Ranch is a 3,500 acre tract 5.5 miles east of Turkey, Texas on HWY86 just on the edge of the Canyon lands. Looking for a group of 7-8 hunters. Guests are allowed. It has all of the ingredients to produce trophy animals in normal conditions and has in the past. The ranch is loaded with Quail and has plenty of hogs, dogs and cats if you are a predator hunter. It has 150 acres of cultivated ground that will be in winter wheat, 25% of the ranch is CRP, and the balance is just Mesquite brush covered native land. The ranch is surrounded with a lot of wheat and cotton cultivation. Lots of big draws, ridges and bottoms and changes in elevation. The place is leased for grazing but the fellow that has it is a great guy, very respectful and easy to get along with. It is well managed and not over grazed. It has municipal water tanks throughout the ranch and several natural tanks and one large lake that we suspect is spring fed. The terrain is very rugged but the roads are almost improved and it doesn't require an ATV, but in the wet, 4 wheel drive would be required on the slick hills. On 75% of the ranch, you will be going up or down most of the time. There is and excellent campsite and water and electricity and camping is available. It is a year to year full season lease. You can bring a guest to shoot management bucks or Doe. The land owner is absentee but the ranch hand keeps and eye on everything for him. We follow the rules and don’t have any issues.

This lease has been previously posted by me and by another poster. I am the only one representing the owners. I also lease 3,000 ac. from them close by. It is available now because the previous agreement to lease was cancelled.

How much per person

That is a good area and the ranch sounds really neat. If it wasn't too far away would be worth considering. Have some friends in the Lubbock area that may be interested but it would be good to list a price.
