Have not been able to hunt much this year. I could only hunt opening day and the last day of season. Opening day our Turkeys in Young county were silent and no where to be seen. The last morning was the charm. He strutted and gobbled all the way in for a 30 yard shot. Found a second Tom gobbling later on the edge of another field, but he was with three hens and would not respond to my calls. I could have shot him with the rifle barrel or drove around and set up with a decoy where they were headed, but instead moved on and texted a lease partner to set up on the other side of the field where they were moving to. He had his own bird working so he stayed with his own bird. I'm happy with just the one I got. The way it is laying on the table, the beard is a bit longer than the picture shows.

Baikal 12GA over 6.5x55 with a red dot scope. Sling is an original Romanian SKS sling. I also have a Savage 12 to 20 Four Tenner tube I keep in the gun case that fits in the 12 GA barrel nicely and shoots straight if I have a need to drop down to 20 ga like for rabbit hunting. Mine is an original Russian Baikal but Remington sold these for a while too I think. Great all purpose carry around gun at the lease. My hunting lease partner has the same gun, but in 7x65 Rimmed.
