Hey guys, I'm new to THF thought I'd introduce myself with this post. Based in South AFrica I'm a PH busy with the application for my Outfitters and developing Karakal Safris. We will be offering some really exciting opening specials hopefully available in the next month or so (just waiting on our permits). I would love to hear from a few of you if you heading to Africa this year whats on your wishlists? What do you look for when planning your trip to South Africa? If there are any of you who are planning your first safari to Africa this year what are your expectations and concerns? Looking forward to your responses. Please go and like our facebook page www.facebook.com/karakalsafarisKind regards Daniel

Good luck. When I was there two years ago I was shocked at how many ranches there where that where not set up for overseas hunters. Seems like there is a lot of potential for somebody who has the connections to do well there.
Post some numbers, for me it's all about the price and what I'm getting. Mostly looking for Buffalo/Sable/Roan and some of the tiny ten for my next trip.

Thanks for posting, it's good to see an outfitter ask what's important to customers.

A buddy of mine just did SA, and was surprised by the hidden expense. I would love to see an outfitter that had the whole export of trophies back to the US figured out and advertised, like a price including dip/tan etc of capes and horns for a set fee, shipped to your taxi in the US.

Hi Neverguess, Thanks for your response, that is a very interesting point and great idea. I am well connected with a great taxidermy and shipping agent so will have a look at something like that. Great point. Kind regards Daniel

You are absolutely correct, there truly are a lot of ranches here that are not fully equipped for the overseas clients. That is where us as Outfitters are working hand in hand with the Ranch owners to add value to their ranch by catering for the international clients. I would most certainly be able to help you with those species as soon as I have all my permits. If you would like to look at something for next year PM me your email address and I can send you some details. Kind regards Daniel
