That'll eat! I use Coke as a tenderizer on steaks because it leaves no taste, Dr Pepper leaves a hint of taste.

sounds good ... I have done a 24-36 hour marinade on a feral hog hind quarter using Root Beer, garlic, cumin, onion and it came out great after 8-10 hours of smoke

Going to have to try this - I use Dr. Pepper in my sauce, so this should go well

This may sound like a dumb question, but do you put everything on that list in the tin pan with the brisket and then throw it on the smoker, or do you soak the brisket in Dr Pepper first and then put the rub on there before throwing it on the smoker? I think I am going to try your recipe this weekend

for the pork butts I've done, merely marinaded overnight in the concoction ... pulled out, patted dry, dry rub, into smoker.
