Dove crops are looking great just wish we had some more sunflowers. Over the past few years the market has been flooded with sunflower creating a huge supply. This year just about all farmers in Texas will NOT be producing sunflowers due to the high cost of seed and low demand, it cost almost more to produce sunflowers this year than they could sell them for. However wheat and milo crops are looking great and will be excellent sources of feed for dove in North Texas. Once we pull the wheat out in the next few weeks we are going to go back in and plant strips of Milo which will be maturing just before opening day. And with all this rain the corn fields are very dirty with natural vegetation and native sunflowers, so I wouldn't hesitate to hunt a corn field this year. Heres a few pictures of some of our dove leases from this morning.

Native sunflowers are the ticket no need to plant they grow back every year. The seeds are a lot smaller dove love them. I'm also planting 35ac of millet in 2 or 3 weeks it will be on come Sept 1st
If it bleeds I can KILL IT
