Have to Pedersoli Hawkens Missouri and Rocky Mountain I want to put scopes that are replicas of there time and run the whole length of barrels tried some gunsmith and there eyes glaze over. Thanks

No I have the scopes as well I need a gunsmith to mount them the scopes run the whole length of the barrel

What kind of mounts do you have? The mounts I have seen, use the dovetails that the front and rear sights are in. If that is the case and they fit, it should be pretty easy. Otherwise, it should be cut a dovetail or drill and tap. Both should be easy for any gunsmith. To answer your question, I don't know any Houston area gunsmiths.

I know the arms room cuts for dovetails I've used the gunsmiths before and had great service I've been thinking of taking my Remington 700 over to them to have the barrel threaded
