Any reason not to buy their .308 version?

Thanks,
Charlie

I'm not sure I fully understand your reply, can you elaborate? smile

I guess I didn't search long enough, I see some of the not so good press now.

How do you compare one suppressor vs another? Almost exclusive use will be hog hunting. Here were the other two I was looking at last night

SilencerCo Harvester 30

LaRue Tranquillo

I've got my Trust done, have the request in for the tax stamp, once that's done, do I then order my choice?

Thanks,
Charlie

Charlie,You will have to purchase the suppressor first, then apply for the tax stamp. I will suggest buying a Titanium suppessor, the weight savings is well worth the extra price. The POI change with most Titanium cans is minimal.

It has been a while since I researched them but when I did the more I read the less interested I became in their stuff. I can't remember any specifics off the top of my head butt almost every review I read was negative. If your looking in that price range, I would suggest spending a little more and going with the Silencerco Harvester.

On the order of when to do things, Silencer Shop took my order for the Tax Stamp alone with no question. If I was making my own or buying a used one, you would have to have the tax stamp for those situations as well. Not arguing, just saying...

With a little more looking around, the SilencerCo Harvester and Omega both seem to be pretty good pieces with the Omega coming up a little quieter on a magazine test I read. Titanium vs Stainless I get for weight differences. What does can length difference make, affect POI more than another? Sound? The Omega is shorter than the Harvester but quieter.

I weighted my M&P-10 (Rifle, 10 round clip, X-Sight, X-Sight Illuminator, UNV Illuminator, 2 rail mounted round Ni-Cads) and it came in at 14pds. Being that damn heavy, a 1lb or 2lb suppressor won't make much difference.

No one commented on the Larue Suppressor I put the link to above? No interest, not enough difference?

Thanks,
Charlie

You can't have a stamp without a serial number to have it paid towards. Just because you pay $200 to Silencer Shop for the stamp doesn't mean that stamp is being processed by the BATFE.

Well funny you should mention that... Silencer Shop called me this AM to basically tell me the above. Long story short, I ended up buying an AAC Cyclone and was told it would be about 6 months. eeks333 Oh well...

Thanks for the comments.
