Hey y'all,

Found this neat shed on a friends ranch and I am pretty certain it is a sika shed? It is just shy of 18 inches. If it is indeed a sika, is that good sized?

Yes a Sika. Good? Depends on what kind of Sika it is. If it is a Japanese then it is good.

Nice find. Looks like a good sika to me. When I find a drop, I start walking around in a circle, going out farther every time around. Sometimes I get lucky and find the other one.

Thanks y'all, I was pretty excited to find it. Eddie, I should have done that! Maybe next time we go out there I can return to the spot and look for a second time. It was in a dry creek bed.

Don, is there anyway to tell from the antler if it is Japanese or other?

Not me, but there may be others on here that can.

Thanks. If anyone knows I'd love to hear it.

This ranch has been full of neat finds- have also found fallow and Axis. I am appreciative that the owner lets me keep them.
