I have a 4 year old Pointer that is a good enough bird dog but not one I want pups from. He is an ornery cuss of a dog when around females and I'm about tired of it but he is tireless hunter. Has anyone had experience with neutering mature EP's that can tell me whether or not it will negatively affect hunting ability or drive?
Thanks in advance.

I had a male vizsla fixed at 3 years old, and it didn't change anything about the way he hunts.

Shopping with your husband is like hunting with the game warden.
Experience is what you get, when you didn't get what you wanted.
