I have had several people tell me that TPWD may be adding a muzzleloading season for a bunch of counties, mine included(Rains). Looking online I can not find any info on it other than a few things mentions that there is a proposal to add a muzzleloading season to a bunch of TX counties, no other info. Does anyone know any detail about the proposal? Im really hoping this happens for my county.

This should provide the info you're looking for. The proposal has not been adopted as yet!

Thank You! I googled my butt off trying to find that info and couldnt locate it. Thats exactly what I was looking for. Hopefully it gets put in effect, it would be cool to have a ML only season. Looks like it would be the first two weeks in JAnuary for ML only. Heres hoping!

They were supposed to vote on this today. Anyone found out if they did, and if so whether or not it passed?

YES!

Both counties my dad and I hunt (Rains and Red River) got a muzzleloader season. Also Red River county now will have 16 doe days! Rains county still only has 4.

Glad this was approved.

Sounds like I should have invested in the muzzle loader industry.

Have a feeling those guns will be going up in price soon.

It ain't easy being me.

So what's the difference between a spike and an unbranched antlered deer?
