Recently picked up a rf-15 from them for my fist AR. I know it's after the fact, but anybody got any reviews of them? Excited to go sling some lead and breaking it in.

Is this the place in Stafford? If so, you should be happy with it. I know that I am, as well as one of my co-workers.

I picked up one of there 8.5" 300 blackout uppers. So far the results have been very promising, but the sample size is small. I'm getting groups as small as 1/2 inch to about 1 inch with factory ammo. The fit to my lower is really good and overall I'm pleased with the product.

Wish they'd get to building their 458 uppers so I can get one.

I currently have 4 of their uppers and have had another 2 or 3 that I sold. They have all been fantastic and the prices are great too.

The only problem is their lead time has increased to 6-8 weeks. You can also buy their guns/uppers off of JoeBobs and avoid the sales tax and shipping.

Yep, I have ordered a few off their site when they were shipping in 1-2 weeks. There have been times when I went to their website to order and it said 6-8 weeks and then I went to JoeBobs and they had the same uppers in stock to ship within 24 hours. Like I mentioned, I also saved on the sales tax and shipping which was about $50.

Yep. The order for my in stock item was made 1-31-2016.

It still shows "processing".

They charged my card on 2-1-2016.

This is all in the fine print on their website so I can't complain more than to say it's pretty sorry to do business that way.

I'll update when it comes in.

Pass the gravy.

My card was charged that way too. I checked with them and it is how they do business. They also told me how many builds there were before mine. About a week later mine showed up. I won't hesitate to do business with them again.

Today is five weeks.

They at least changed their verbiage on the website from:

Availability: In Stock

To.....

Stock Status: Ready to build; check lead times
Availability: Current Production Time Up To 8 Weeks

Waiting.....

Pass the gravy.

They are building cheap suppressors now. They can't even keep up with rifle orders...

I was going to try their 6.5 upper, but the lead times made me think otherwise. Even the Joe Bob site didn't have them in stock. I ended up with a Stag Arms 6.8. It should get here next week.

Can you explain or further define "cheap". Like cheap in inexpensive or cheap in subpar or below standard quality? Thanks.
cheers

"Cheap" as in low cost using old technology. I'm sure they'll work but they won't be the quietest available.

I managed to snag one of their keymods from Aim right before they sold out. I like it so far.

I just built a 7.62x39 with one of their 16" KEYMOD uppers. Haven't shot it yet, but build quality seems good so far. Fit and finish were above what I expected for the price paid.

Optic is on it's way, should be shooting it this weekend. I'll post up once we see how it does at the range, testing a few different types of ammo.

And on the 37th day, man (in this case Radical Firearms) created a tracking number. Six weeks, two days for those that care. Should be here today.

Brass marks on deflector indicate test firing. Fine with me.

Has a few tiny scratches into white metal on the rail tube but overall looks to be a quality product. Fits tight to a Spikes Zombie lower.

Not worth the wait for a small price break (remember sales tax and shipping!).

Not worth the trouble to get the scratches addressed.

It's finally over.

Pass the gravy.

....oh yeah, their free float tube has GIANT round holes at the end making it impossible to use a standard end cap. Here compared to a capped "other brand".

Also, the gas key stakes are a little weak but I'm not losing sleep over it nor attempting to improve it.

Pass the gravy.

1. Are you sure the giant holes aren't for a QD sling?
2. Why would you want an end cap on a free float tube?

Got some trigger time with the new 7.62x39 baby with the Radical Arms upper today. Fired about 60 rounds, all Russian steel case. Tried Tula 124gr HP and Silver Bear 125 gr SP. No failures of any kind. Shot mainly with the 10-rd mags, but also tried a 30 for reliability testing. It's wearing a Vortex Diamondback 3.5x10x50 in a Nikon M-223 mount.

Chrono’d both rounds. The Silver Bear seems to run a little hotter, average velocity out of the 16” barrel was about 2430 FPS.

This gun still has the mil-spec trigger, which is pretty bad. A mile long and real creepy. Did not attempt precision groups this go round. A trigger upgrade is on the list, will see what it can do accuracy-rise once it's in.

Overall, I’m pleased.
