Looking at picking up some land in Concho county. Just South East of San Angelo. I used to hunt white tail out there as a kid and there were tons. Shot my first buck there at age 11. I hear there are alot of exotics in the area now? Is this true? Are there still good numbers of Turkey? Have hogs started tearing things up out there as well?

Thanks

S~

Plenty of deer and turkey, hogs are starting to get populated, no free roaming exotics.

I have hunted there for the last 20 years or so. I know of hogs around us but we still don't have any. We have said "any day now" since we have hunted out there.

There are a lot more exotics than when we first started. Southern side of Concho and out around the lake has a decent population of axis. Black bucks can be found on various ranches. Our area has audoud and we have killed elk, Sitka, and fallow.

Turkey numbers are still high, as are quail numbers.

Bud has a section outside of Eden on Duck creek. Decent deer in good numbers but no hogs. And it is the hoggiest lookin country I ever seen. Bud says same as txshntr...hogs all around him but not on his place. No exotics that we've ever seen there.

I've seen Axis and Blackbuck in southeast of Millersview.
