Well my dads friend gave me 100-150 quail today. Lucky my dad who used to raise game birds still had a big brood pen he hasn't torn down. So I hunt in young co we don't have quail on the ranch I'm on. What are the chances of them reproducing if I cut some loose out there?

The chances are pretty slim.

I'd work the dogs with them, releasing 20-25 at a time until they were gone.
Better for you to eat them than a red tail hawk.

#hawk&catlivesmatter

BTW, I'd pull their little heads off and dress them. Unshot quail!

It's important to leave their heads on. You can squeeze a quail and it will expire.

There you have a whole skinned quail.

Next, you pull the leg over the back, and pull the legs off one at a time. It's best to pull from the front to the back.

Here you have a whole quail with the legs and thighs removed and in the pan.

You could see that I had the quail by the head with my right hand. Just pull the head and neck off and the intestines come with it.. You can see that I have the breast in one hand and the head with the backbone and guts in the other hand. Notice that my hands are still clean

I've done them every other way that's known, but this has always worked best for me. I can do them as fast as a helper can clip the wings and feet.

You have at best 150 birds that fly half the speed of wild quail and are clueless on how to evade predators.
The one week survival rate will be near zero.
