Any suggestions on softening a skin? I'm sending it to another member to inlay it in a leather sling. I initially salted it and I think I rubbed some glycerine on it. It's semi-stiff. I can't roll it up. Thanks!

Denatured alchol and veggie glycerin has done a fantastic job soft tanning every rattler. Mind sharing who is doing the sling ive been wanting to do same thing but have no idea who to contact.

An old but tried and true method is soaking the cleaned skin in anti-freeze for several days and then letting it dry out. It cures the skin as well as anything and can be done at home.
