Grandson was picked for Choke Canyon North Shore on Dec.19-22nd and grandson and granddaughter were picked for Pedernales Falls on Dec.29-31st. Never been to either place so any info would be greatly appreciated. Both hunts are either sex. Thanks, PK

I hunted the North Shore unit on Dec 8-10. Weather was warm and very few deer were seen among the 4 compartments. Just thoroughly scout your compartment and corn at least 2 different spots on your first day (3 spots would be better.) Take a pop-up blind and hunt the roads or senderos. The shorelines by the lake are impossible to hunt because the entire shoreline is grown up all the way to the waters edge. The deer will move at diffent times during the day so I would hunt the early mornings/late afternoons as well as mid-day.
