ok so I bought a new rifle, and want to get one of the ammo holders that holds 5 or 6 rounds on the buttstock, but they look so cheap and that's not my style. what are the other options for the same style but better quality?

K brand leather, on your belt. By far the best value. Lots of other (Murray, etc.) charge exorbitant prices for the same thing. This way, you'll be ready for Africa too.

I have one on every rifle. Great product, made in USA, great company to deal with.

Anyone use the internal loop model? I've used the cheap versions before and the elastic always wears out. Plus with the external loops, I sometimes lose ammo when it's in the gun rack on the ATV. Wondering how the internal loops are to use.

It is far more important to be able to hit the target than it is to haggle over who makes a weapon or who pulls a trigger.

I much prefer to carry extra rounds on my sling, like this:

Never have used the internal loops. For me they would be less handy, having to unzip the pouch to get to them. When it's a hurry up scenraio I like having rounds easily acessable that I can top load. The elastic on the Triad packs is industrial strength, triple thick, last a lifetime elastic.

I think mine are internal. I don't want any on the outside. If you're not doing any timed tacticool events internal is good

Hate them. Especially if it's on a hunting rifle. Awkward to get out, and if you leave the sling on your rifle in a blind, they bang against everything.

Also look at these 2 round ammo holders. I like these when 1 round is needed.
