Done it for a long time, way back in the 80's even. Wouldn't do it on a deer since they are easy enough to skin out, but coyotes and coons works great! Got to be real careful doing rabbits though.

Funny story. I had
aired up" 3 coons one time to skin out for the heck of it, they where blown up like basket balls, I walked behind the shed to be rid of some coffee, came around the corner and my daughter (6 at the time) was kicking them around like kickball's LOL

We use this method. Actually created a airgun with a very large gauge needle on the end that you can insert right under the skin. It loosens the skin and makes skinning a lot easier, but you still have to do some knife work.

To be sure of hitting the target, shoot first and call whatever you hit the target.

That's awesome. I'm about to have my first kid, a girl, and I hope she has enough salt about her to want to kick around a blown up coon

I still like to hang them in a tree and skin them with my jeep. Way cleaner and quicker than any other method.

Sometimes it's hard being me! But somebody has to do it.

I have used an air compressor for skinning coons but never for deer. I guess it's because my skinning rack isn't near the air compressor or I skin the deer where I was hunting. Does make it a lot easier though on coons.

Have used electric hoist on back of pickups, start at neck and tie a rock under skin and skin like you would a rabbit or tree rat. rifle
