The dilemma of trying to find a place to hunt strikes again. I wasted a lot of money this year with places that were a bust. Not looking for guided. Not looking for a $350 hunt. Given it's deer season, that makes it all the harder.

Any suggestions would be nice.

Craigslist has a fair amount in the 1-2 hundred dollar range.

cheers 8-18 been last time seen hogs here, haven't even realy seen tracks no sign... Then again ran out of corn bout month ago... Guess tis best can't watch the videos of the NV & Thermal hunts, reminds me of back in me caveman nights when had 1,100 acres ta huntsolo after deer season wondering about the woods slinger pistal on hip, flashlight off... High-tech come along ways, after reading that thar Fearless Hogs thread, gotta agree tis a lot safer hunten HT... Most of my hog hunts been WMA, my ta go place they had roads closed here while back ... Pushing deer & hogs ta higher ground... Those that know the area, take boats, had good luck with me Jon boat, hit some hard times... WMA cheapest i've found... rofl i sound like a broken record... flag

Last few I did were off CL. Some were a complete bust ran by someone lying about their hog population, failing to mention that the property has been hunted hundreds of times and the hogs are long gone, and some were just bad no luck.

Near San Antonio, you'll see them advertise on CL, but you'll see more after deer season is over. I've been fortunate on most CL hunts, but won't do them any more for the reasons you described. A day hunt is difficult with hogs unless they are fenced in with a small acreage, and I don't think I could do that.

Well, keep your eye on the Outfitters & Guide section. I will have some coming up, but, it will be after deer season. I know you may want something now, but will have what you're looking for later. And we have the hogs this year and you won't find a cheaper hunt than this, other than hunting public land.

Thanks, I'll definitely keep an eye out. Not in a huge rush
