Just buried my truck. Had planned to hunt but looks like I'll be trying to catch the neighbor to borrow his tractor before he heads to church. Feeling pretty dumb right now.

Raining hard, but one small buck at feeder

Bow hunting a ground blind over some hand corn. Just had a small buck. Seen more deer this weekend in the rain than I have the last two.

Hearing a lot of shooting. Saw one doe in the driveway when I came in today but that's it so far

6pt came out but didn't stay long in the heavy rain.

If I don't see anything today I may give up on morning hunts. I haven't seen anything in the morning since opening weekend. Of course I say that but I will probably not pass up an opportunity to be out here...lol

Evenings are much better for us as well.

My son and I got up ate breakfast did our business then he went back to bed, so I did too! Not raining now so I might slip out while he is still asleep!

Looked like we had a window between showers. Well it's closed and looks like it will be pouring for the rest of the day. Gonna suck riding the fourwheeler back to camp.

According to the radar, the rain will finally stop in a couple hours, out in sw Taylor county. Gonna give it a go and see what happens.

Got a spike at 12 30 after the rain finally slowed down. Had to get meat in the freezer.
