Pretty slow so far. I've been seeing does come into feeder late at near last light on some evening hunts. I've observed a few does that moved earlier but were not coming to feeders - just moving through light to medium cover. Mornings have been slow, slow and slow. I had to wait until my 6th morning hunt to finally see a deer in the AM, this was last Sunday, the 15th. I saw a doe about 8:30 move thru and walk past the feeder, and then about 15 minutes I had a decent 4.5 year old buck come in on the same trail but he hit the feeder and stayed for 20 minutes. He showed no signs of being concerned with anything rut related, but he had a big swollen neck and large, dark tarsal glands. Another guy on our lease shot a mature 10 pointer Saturday morning, this buck and another buck were both chasing the same doe. The rut looks to have not really kicked into high gear as of Sunday the 15th, but I expect it will very soon if it hasn't in the last couple of days. Deer activity was low and they aren't hitting the corn very hard at all. I've been at the least 7 days so far this season and have seen that one buck and probably some of the same 5 does on several occasions. At least, half of my sits have resulted in no deer sightings.

You may want to look further down for a thread I started a few days ago titled "Archer Baylor, Young and Throckmorton reports," or something like that. It's got some decent comments, all saying pretty much what I just described.
