Made a quick trip out early thanks to a good friend of mine. Took an old friend out for his first pig hunt and first hunt in Texas, (friend is a retired gentleman from Wyoming and has always dreamed of this). He smacked this 275-ish lb boar with the 300 Blackout and he dropped like Ronda Rousey in the second round. Old boar, on the downside. Broke off hooks, lots of scars, thick shield. One of the quickest pig hunts I've ever been on. Pulled into the field and spotted with thermal. Quick stalk, bang flop. Drove up, loaded, went home roflmao Good times.

Did stick the pig after the shot because he was still moving. He used a Gerber folding knife that was given to us 3 projects ago and had a hard time getting deep enough. He said man, now I see why you guys carry big knives when you hunt these things. roflmao Good times.
