looking at 7.62x39 ar platforms and they have a build identical to my windham vex. not all that familiar with their quality/rep so let me hear it.

I'm ambivalent. I had a .243 WSSM from them and it was very picky, but accurate with its preferred load. They are a low end manufacturer, but they also have a history of innovative offerings, so that's a plus. I wouldn't pay premium money for one, but I'd buy another at the right price. They make design decisions that you may or may not agree with, in that they focus on match/plinking features (unchromed barrels, for example) rather than carry/combat features.
I should also mention that I've read, on other forums, that their 7.62x39 AR worked pretty well; but that's second hand information. FWIW, I've thought about buying one.

My AR is an older oly sgw. Not top of the line by any means, but goes bang when you pull the trigger.

They use broach cut barrels that from the Half dozen or so I have had are excellent shooters once broken in. I would buy with no reservations

this is the one I am looking at, a twin to my windham vex but has a 20" barrel. will be a dedicated pig gun/xsight night vision scope.
