I found out too late my first morning in the new blind that the rising sun hits me square in the face, and I don't really have the option to turn my blind another direction. I need some sort of camo screen to put over the windows to block the sun but allow me to view out. I can put dark material over the side windows, to help. I painted the interior black to keep me concealed, a lot of good that does with the sun shining on my ugly mug. I have the deerview style windows that swing up and in. Lots of camo style netting out there on the market, looking for some advice from you pros what has worked best for you. Here is a picture of my set up.

Don't worry somebody will come turn it 90 decrees for me shortly. The screen is down in that pic.

Whoa Texaslefty, for a minute there I thought you spilled your beer! I'll try the Walmart camo for now until I get a more permanent solution. Thanks.

I got one of those spring type shower curtain rods and the wife made me some curtains (just for that one blind that the setting sun lights up). I do NOT have curtains in all my blinds. Just sayin...

I use a dark colored towel. I attach it, as needed, with pushpins to block the sun. I can take it down, or move it in seconds. If the sun is right in your face, have you tried sun glasses?

I have the camo burlap over all of my windows. I cut vertical slits in it every 8" or so. I usually get 2 years out of it before it needs replacement.
We all need to practice Whoa more.

I built framed screens for all of my windows when I built my blind, and used magnetic tape on the screen frames to stick to the sheet metal that I use around my window openings. I bought everything to do it at Home Depot or Lowes. I originally used a thick black fiberglass screen material for the screens since I didn't bow hunt out of my blind. The window opening on the left doesn't have a screen on it,but the right window opening does. You can see how much difference the screen makes on a sunny day. This year I was able to bow hunt with my crossbow in the blind so I needed to use something that I could shoot thru.I found some sheer camouflage fabric on Ebay and bought a couple yards of it. I really like this stuff,it blocks the sunshine pretty good, and you can see thru it. For completely blocking out any light on my side or back windows,I just hang up some dark brown hand towels that I bought for just that purpose.

I put some of the camo screen over my windows on the inside of the blind and you cannot see in. I've noticed that when the deer come to the feeder they look at the blind and run off. I'm being quiet as a church mouse, but I think they notice the window up even though they cant see in, you can tell there is something different, there isn't the reflectiveness of the window like in the picture above. With the sun shining directly at the windows all day my opinion is they can tell something is different. Think I might need to put screens on the outside like txhillbilly did, so they can't tell the windows are open or not. Also going to make some awnings to help block light as wellas suggested by huntinfishinsumb . Perhaps I'm overthinking this, everyone around me hunts with open windows and you can see right through their blinds and see their silhouettes. But they haven't shot any deer either. Txhillbilly how are you going to shoot through the window screen?

The towel is a good idea, though not as upscale as my curtains (which don't match the carpet).

Txhillbilly how are you going to shoot through the window screen? My screens are on the inside of the blind. I leave them against the windows all of the time when they are closed, and then when I'm in the blind,I open up the flip up windows and reinstall the screens on the opening. My bow hunting feeder is 25 yards from my blind. The deer will walk within a couple of feet from my blind at times,I've never been busted by them whether the windows are open/closed or if I have the screens on the windows or not. My other feeders are 125 yards away, and the deer have never busted me from them either.

If you want to be really upscale, buy some cheap brown or black table placemats from Walmart for $1.99/each. They fit the windows well and are easy to put up and take down with some industrial Velcro.
