I have a Brittany, male, and wondering what's a good Dog Vest to get for the cold water, that will actually fit my dog well. Wondering if you guys may have advice on a specific vest and specific size (only because when i look online, there are 6-7 sizes to choose from on some of these that you like for your Male Brittany. My dog is 1 year old, so will be first time duck hunting this year.

There is time, and you must take it, to lay your hand on your dog's head as you walk past him lying on the floor or on his settle, time to talk with him, to remember with him, time to please him, time you can't buy back once he's gone" GBE

I wont matter if the vest is a little big in some areas. Just don't buy it to small. Most of the time I have to cut the leg openings, so they don't rub under the front legs. I put the vest on the dog, and mark the cuts. After cutting put it back on and see if I need to fine tune it. You can even cut the seams, shorten areas, and sew back together to get a better fit on your dog. I just make sure the new seams face out, so it doesn't rub the dog.
Shopping with your husband is like hunting with the game warden. Experience is what you get, when you didn't get what you wanted.

Avery Boaters Parka is what I use for my Brittany. I have a female that is about 32lbs and you can get one in a small. It also has a little extra floatation in the sides for those longer retrieves with a Mallard. I wouldnt want any other one. https://www.averysportingdog.com/boaters-hunting-dog-parka
