Let me here some thought on a scope for an AR 10. I was thinking nikon 4x12x40 for $200 bucks. Works great on my deer rifle.

All depends on what you want to do with it. MOA or MIL? How far do you want to shoot distance wise? Minimum I would go for is a 44 objective to allow the most light transmission possible to the eye.

My dad put a Vortex Hog Hunter on his AR10, very nice scope for not a lot of coin.
