I have found a Polaris diesel 4 wheeler and wanted some info from the THF crowd. Is it a reliable quad?
Really looking for something that I can just hop on ang go when at the lease. No mud but rocky.

We have had a few polaris vehicles and have loved them all. Our favorite our 2007 Polaris ranger 6x6. Polaris is very reliable. I have a sportsman 90 that is 9 years old and fires right up.

I have 2 Ranger 4x4 diesels. Very good machines. They replaced gas Rangers with single seats, these are 2 seaters. They don't go as fast, less Hp, but plenty of torque for climbing. We use them for ranch work and the pickups stay home. As with any belt driven machine I don't do things like pull stumps and I've had no belt issues. These are 4 years old and are very stingy on fuel, at least twice the mileage of the smaller gas machines. None of the fuel problems of ethanol formulated gasoline either. They are very comfortable on the back, maybe it's the longer wheelbase? I spend 2-3 hours per day everyday on one. Had to put 1/2" ply board under the plastic front seats. I also made large strong receiver racks for hauling hogs and deer. Use them for everything and they really save the roads in wet weather. We have rocky terrain too and tires only last about 6 months. I'd tried several brands now and I'm sticking with Carlisle from now on.
