I went recently to part of grasslands and there were some gates closed due to flooding, just wondering if anyone knows if Unit 3 is open? Wanting to take my son out there to shoot some skeet in preparation for dove season.

Anyone know? unit 3 is the place on grasslands where one can target practice from what i've heard

I haven't been out to the grass lands recently. I know it's dry out here where I am. About 10 to 15 miles south of the grass lands.

I just spoke with the lovely lady at the US Forest service office in Decatur and she told me that almost all of the access roads in LBJ are open, only a few that have not had the road work done yet.
