....last night. The motion detector on the feeder picked up movement and started ringing the hell out the bell in the house. Picked up the carbine with Eotech and PVS14 and made the stalk across open ground down to the feeder. Stopped at 75 yards and picked out one but missed(yea I suck). Picked up the next one running left to right at 30 yards and rolled him. Missed again at one running with him then they were gone.

This morning I get my coffee and step out to the back porch and the wife says look at the coyotes. There were 4 on the pig carcus(200yrds clear line of site) and two look as big as German shepherds. They ran off before I could get the daytime gun. Pig is up wind so I have to move him this morning.

On another note 40 Canda geese came off their roost next door and I look like a crazy man yelling and waving trying to keep them from landing on my pond. My pond is a mess from their droppings.

Oh, to have your problems!

Are you shooting offhand or using a brace of some sort? If shooting offhand, might I suggest investing in some shooting sticks? They are quite helpful in the field.

Missed one last month that I'm kicking myself for. Shot John Wayne style at like a hundred yards and I guess I pulled the shot. Shooting sticks are going to be with me now at all times.

I agree!

I carry a homemade monopod made from an old mop handle. I use it as a walking stick when strolling around and as a shooting stick when needed. It helps me a lot, and goodness knows I need all the help I can get!
