Anyone get a new bow for this season? I finally upgraded from my Bowtech Captain to a Bowtech RPM 360. I can't wait to stick some pigs with this sweet bow. Heck I may go stick one this weekend.

There's not much to upgrade to in the trad world.

Upgraded 2 seasons ago, that was the first upgrade since 98. Glad some think they need to upgrade every year so bow companies are still making more when I want my next upgrade in 10 or so years.

I wasnt planning on bow hunting this year and sold my Creed.... Luckily, I have a ChillX as my 3d/tournament bow... going to get that rigged up this weekend.

I am a big Mathews guy. They just hold well for me. Shot a couple Hoyts and didnt care for them. Something with the draw cycle just didnt work for me.

I will say that I tried a buddy's Elite and if I were to switch from Mathews.... Elite would be my next stopping point.

My nephew retired from the Air Force and bought a place near me. He had been stationed in Alaska for several years and is an avid bow hunter. I haven't bow hunted since the 70's, Ben Pearson Recurve, and decided I would tech up and start hunting with my nephew. I picked up the new Diamond Core by Bowtech and really like the way it draws and shoots. Need to start practicing cause archery season is just around the corner.

Yup, I get a new bow ever year, its my passion so I enjoy feeling the new cams and such. Got th Hoyt Nitrum Turbo and love it, upgraded from the Carbon Spyder Turbo.

I also got my brother into bowhunting and went with him to shoot bows yesterday and will second what was already said. That new Elite Synergy is a sweet shooter. Didn't mind the No Cam by Mathews either. I really am not brand loyal so next year may be the elite.

There sure is a big following for the Hoyte bows. I've only shot one ever. May have to shoot one of the new ones to see what there like. I really liked that Mathews no cam. We have a lot of large hogs where I hunt and I decided I want to try to get more pass throughs so I decided to go with the Bowtech 360 and to my surprise it is a very smooth drawing bow, especially for having a short brace height. With all that said, I will probably keep this one for ten years.

Chris, if you are looking for more penetration and pass through shots you might look at your choice of arrow shafts and broadheads. Small diameter shafts and heavy arrows not only will penetrate deeper but will help reduce bow noise even though they will not be as fast as a lighter weight arrow.

If bow manufactures counted on me for a new bow purchase every year in their business model they would be sadly mistaken. I get a new one every 10 to 15 years.

I don't think my arrow shafts can get much skinnier than the Victory RIPs I'm shooting now. They have a fairly heavy outsert in them. The 40fps I picked up should help also ( except for pulling them out of my targets).

I am buying all the accessories right now. Still undecided on new bow. Was dead set on Bear Agenda 6 last year, but there a few new ones coming out this year that I want to try first. Still waiting on the shoulder to heal before making final decision.
