Thats 3 feeding but only one is hers. I watch this girl and her single fawn every day. We also have twins hanging around. Several time I have seen does nursing fawns that are not theirs. Don't ask me how I got all 3 to line up for the second shot and I won't have to lie about how I did it.
A clear conscience is often the sign of a fuzzy memory.

Have read and been told by some very well known biologists in discussions about deer that it is not uncommon for a doe to let other fawns nurse and even adopt a fawn that is not theirs.
lf the saying "Liar, Liar your pants on fire" were true Mainstream news might be fun to watch

Thanks for the comments. I saw 4 nursing a doe last year but couldn't get to a camera fast enough.

I have a couple of cows that will community nurse calves, but I've never seen a doe do that. Thanks for sharing!
