Anyone else seeing what seems to be an over abundance of doves around their house? The wife and I see them constantly during the day, and they seem to have taken over our trees as a place to roost at night

Saw quite a few in the beginning of May when the huge rains started. Very few lately, other than mating pairs around the yard.

They are about average down here by mcallen, but i would imagine it will be a good season by everyones input or so i hope

Only time I saw a lot doves was right after trying to plant some haygrazer. Planted into some rough ground, rushing things trying to beat the rain. Rained 4 inches the next day and washed all the seed away. After it dried up the doves were having a field day.

Seen a group today (6 to 7) all had pen feathers. Plenty of rain, bunch of young doves. Should be pretty GOOOOOD!!!!

In the tree out front $%!^ting on my truck every night yes.  I know it ain't funny, same problem on my back porch ,crapping around dog food bowl. At any given time during the day, I can walk out back door and scare off 1/2 dozen or more whitewings and ring necks eating dog food. Damn dog sleeping 6 feet from the bowl. Gonna get me a small troph feeder put a couple feet off ground and have target practice on ringnecks and grackels

And they are all whitewing doves too.  Every year I say I'm going to put the pellet rifle to work. I never do. I can still remember when we didn't see them this far north.
