I was out yesterday morning and the birds were still gobbling. My hounds were cold trailing and every time they would open, a bird would gobble. I have not hunted all year but one of my friends with 10X Hunting Apparel is coming in tonight and we are going to hunt in Menard County on Saturday and then Edwards County on Sunday and Monday. With just a little luck we should kill half a dozen birds and stock my freezer for a couple of months.
Adios,
Gary

Snakes were really moving the last few days in advance of the stormy weather. Buddy from 10X could not make it down as the Ft. Worth storms kept him home. I did go to Edwards County and hunted Sunday and Monday morning. Hunted with some great friends and saw six birds get shot on Sunday and three this morning. I did more calling than shooting but did manage to kill a nice three year old Sunday morning. Hen competition was not too bad as some of the hens appeared to be nesting. Saw two different fawns yesterday evening, my first of the year.
Adios,
Gary
