They're awesome. They work great in a pop up and anytime you need to take long shots but they are bulky. I initially got mine for my kids to use out of the pop up but it's been great for me as well even on predator hunts when you have small targets. They are a lot more sturdy and stable than i thought they would be. Fold up pretty small though.

How much do they weigh? I can't find that figure. Are they too bulky to carry for a mile to a field and back? What about taking up into the mountains for a spot and stalk elk hunt?

they gold up as small as you could expect but still kind of bulky. should be fine if you're carrying a decent size pack. Weights under 6lbs. Feels lighter imo but I haven't packed in with it either.

I have the Deadshot Fieldpod and really like it. I used mine with my x-bow for hunting and sighting in my rifles. It does not weigh that much at all, 3-4 lbs max.

I bought the same one less than a month ago. Have not shot from it yet but have played with it a lot and really like it so far. I bought it mostly because of one feeder I have that is right at 300 yards away and I hunt it from the ground using a camera tripod as a rest. Decided I was going to build me a shooting bench to shoot from at that feeder but when I ran across the Fieldpod I bought it figuring I couldn't even build a shooting bench for less than the $100 it cost. Cant wait to put it to use! It will make my ground hunting so much easier!

Somebody had these the other day for $169, so shop around before you buy. I tried the regular fieldpod-it was okay, but the main issue was that it wouldn't go high enough for me.

I have two.
Used for night hunting predators mainly. They are not anything you want to tote much over 400-500 yards and are a little bulky for sure.
They do help make longer shots on small targets possible.

No way would I take elk hunting unless it was a very short distance away from the vehicle.

There are 2 versions of the fieldpod. The Magnum and regular version. Basspro was selling the regular version for less than $100. Both are well made and are great for pop up blinds etc

I have one, and it's great. I am a little nervous about stripping out the plastic gears over time but overall it holds the rifle very steady and has held up well so far.
