What is the best way to remove weeds on a new food plot ?
If using Roundup, what is cheapest way ? Home Depot Roundup or Glyphosate from feed store ?
Where is the best place to buy from DFW to Corsicana, TX

Thanks for your reply

Don't know where between DFW and Corsicana you should buy it, but the generic should be much cheaper than the brand name. I have found it in the past as much as 50% less. Same for triclopyr vs. Garlon.

Never used it on a food plot in 25-30 years, I always plow and disc at the best times to limit weeds, has worked for me. Agree with Big ag though, generic should save you some in a concentrate.

I have used the off-brand glyphosates many times(like Eraser). Do not get the premixed, just get the concentrated in gallon or 2.5 gallon jugs. I bought them at TSC or a larger feed store or Farm Chemical company. If you are spraying a large area some chemical company or feed stores can use their equipment or rent you a trailer to spray with. Sometimes in new plots they need to be sprayed to start and same for older established plots. Fuel costs sometimes are more than chemical costs if you have to plow a lot. Invasive grasses or weeds can come up and spread due to plowing. I have done it both ways. Sometimes a chemical application at the right time will eliminate more seeds being produced.
