I've booked my first ever desert mule deer hunt and I'd like to read-up on these critters and West Texas hunting in general. Any book or magazine recommendations?
Thanks

Stxranchman....pick his brain. That's where I would start. He knows how to hunt them

Mulie hunting in that terrain is a great excuse to upgrade your binos.

Mulie hunting in that terrain is a great excuse to upgrade your binos. and add another rifle to the stable..... congratulations sir, your gonna have a blast. Be forewarned however that its highly addicting and its possible you will not want much to do with whitetail after this hunt
