Those of you that have or do own this gun, which factory hunting ammo was the most accurate? I'm using 155gn AMAX right now and I'm not so impressed with it. I shoot Hornady out of my 22-250, 223 and 243 I built and love it in all 3 of those guns. I'm wondering if I need to be shooting a heavier bullet? Now let me say that some people may be happy with the groups I'm getting(about 5 shots the size of a tennis ball at 100yd) but I'm use to my other guns making 5 shot groups you could cover with a dime or nickel.
The gun is new and still only has about 40-50 rounds thru it but I'm hoping for some improved accuracy.
Thanks!
Mike

I have one in 300 blkout but I roll my own, takes Sierra match kings like a champ. Never had a 700 that didn't like core lokt.
Isn't it funny how day by day nothing changes but when you look back everything is different.
Nowadays people know the price of everything and the value of nothing.

Talk to chad on here and ask about his 168 match ammo

Are you handloading or strictly looking for factory loads for the gun?

Mine shoots great with 168 and 175 SMK's. Better with the 175s. I tried the 155 amax and they were ok, just not as tight as the match kings (all handloads). I'm trying to work up loads with the 178 amax because they're a good bit cheaper than match kings but so far the rifle seems to favor the match king. Try some gold medal match with the match kings. Good luck.

I'm sorry. I just noticed that you are looking for hunting ammo. My bad. Disregard my last post.

I load the Hornady A-max 155 grains with 44 grains of IMR 4064 and I am getting 1/2" groups at 100 yards, 1.5" at 200 yards. THe round sis very accurate at 500 plus yards.
