I spent most of the day at a friends range trying some loads in my new 243. I found TWO that worked quite well!

Rifle is a Weatherby Vanguard S2 w/ a 24" barrel.
Bullets that were tried were the Nosler 85 gr Partition and the 90 gr Accubond
Powders were IMR 4350 for the 90gr AB and IMR 4064 for the Partition
All brass was Nosler virgin brass
Primers were WLR

I didn't have a chrony so I'll have to check that the next time to give some speeds and results.

Results for my rifle were that both hit to the same POI!
Groups for the Partition were 3 shots of .6" and 5 shots were .9"
Groups for the Accubonds were 3 shots of .8 and 5 shots of 1" - the AB's were horizontally stringing, almost a perfect line of one shot touching the next.

Shooting was done off of a padded rest with sandbags for the butt.

So, what does that horizontal stringing mean?

And, I guess I'll be carrying two loads next fall unless further playing with one or the other tightens one up more than the other.

Pay it forward - Kids are the future.

Rifles are similar to boats and young women...there's no end to how much money you can pour into them without making them any more useful.

Nice shooting!

It is nice to have more than one load. I have 2 loads for my 270, one is a full power 150 grain nosler partition, the other is a 110 grain sierra prohunter reduced load my wife shoots. Both will poke out a bulls eye at 100 yards banana

Seems like I read horizontal stringing was cause by trigger pull inconsistencies.

I could be wrong, but I believe that the ladder test guys say that vertical stringing indicates being just above or below an accuracy node. A lot of times, horizontal stringing is trigger control...
