Just got back from a two day duck hunting trip near Osceola,AR. Hunted a friends rice fields with limits of Greenheads along with pintails, gadwalls and widgeon every hunt.
The birds were on after all the freeze days, had numerous groups of 100 birds work the spread. Most of the thousands of birds we saw were mallards and pintails.
Also, got a banded Greenhead, the first hunt which was nice.

Nice! I've been duck hunting NE Arkansas for the last 7 years, around Jonesboro. We've only had a few bad hunts, love it up there.

I second this. Sounds like heaven though. Arkansas has been a waterfowl's paradise lately.
Coastal Prairie & Matagorda Bay system. Sic'em.

We whacked mallards this weekend in eastern AR also. Most I've ever seen on a timber hunt. Fun shooting for sure. Coach
