Is Cerakote really that tough? Bought a new in the box Beretta A300. It is my first all black synthetic gun. Figured it would handle duck hunting better than my blued and walnut guns. WRONG...after one day of shooting (at the range of all places) the black finish is already showing signs of wear. It scratches if anything breathes on it! My classic blues are way tougher. Awesome shooter but I want to upgrade the coating if its worth it.

It's tougher than paint, but it will wear.
