Arrived early to check cameras and learned that hogs had come that morning, so I planned on staying the night. The hogs never came, but this guy did about 2:30 in the morning. He was crossing the far end of the field when I noticed him and apparently something caught his attention because he came to a stop...which worked out well for me.

Another nice cat congrats! My tp&w friend says they are overtaking the coyotes as a problem.

You know, so few people notice them because they are mostly nocturnal, solitary, don't howl, or otherwise draw much attention to themselves. Their numbers could jump dramatically and nobody would know it if they weren't studying the issue.

Like the black hot. I do agree, they get missed often.

My dad's had a bobcat on his game camera. It recently had at least 4 kittens also seen on cam.
Fast paced gregarious society forgets the healing power of solitude. It's worked thousands of years. Casting a line/gazing into a campfire/sitting in a blind after a long week is medicine for the soul. The serenity and peacefulness of it all is majestic.
