Ok I was just wondering if anyone could recommend me a good processor in the metroplex. I used to use flicks but they don't exist anymore and I tried rendon meats, they were ok. Any recommendations? I live in Arlington and would like to use a place close by.

Cinnamon Creek formerly Syracuse Meats will get all my business. The bacon wrapped venison filets are awesome, pretty close to beef which is hard to believe.

Joshua deer processor is about the best around. Everything is vacumn sealed and will last forever if you want it to. Their sausages are excellent. We have used Cinnamon creek/Syracuse in haste. They are alright but take an extra long time and some of the meat is in the old plastic bags with hog rings. We had an antelope done and they packed the burger meat in 2 lb tubes? Which seemed strange.

Number one rule- walk in and look around if the place is clean and shiny looking, good deal. If it smells like decomp walk out quick. Because there is no telling what's behind closed doors if the front smells and is filthy.

Just my .02

Cinnamon Creek. Get the bacon wrapped filets as mentioned and the Chipotle Monterrey Jack Cheese sausage. You can thank me later.

Cinnamon Creek as mentioned before I've been really please with. Over in Plano I've used the Ye Ole Butcher Shop, I like them alot.
Here around Lubbock I've used Klemke's Sausage Haus in Slaton. From what I've been told they are priced on the high side but I can't tell the difference between other places. Their final product though is fantastic though. Turn around time isn't too bad IMO.

I used Kuby's for a pig. First round of sausages were really good. It is on Sovereign Row in Dallas.

I would also ask if they co mingle or if you get yours back, depending on if that is important to you. It is to me and I will use only places the dont co-mingle. Found a place in Plano, I place to use. Think that may be too far.
