Didn't get to tag or bag anything, but had a good weekend of hunting. Friday morning I got to the ranch late climbed into my tripod as the sun was coming up already and had 4 does walk past about 30 yards away I froze they looked for a sec or so and kept going. All in saw 17 deer from 7am to 830. Didn't have time to feed any, they were all just browsing on the brush, range conditions are GREAT!

Saturday evening sat with my wife for the first time all year as we have a 7 week old, grandma was having fun watching him so we snuck off for a hunt. Saw a good number of deer and had two 2.5 YO 8pt's have a knock down drag out right in front of the feeder, first deer fight I have seen where they weren't holding anything back dirt flying all over grunts and all. The victor camped under the feeder and the looser skirted the feeder with his tail between his legs. About 5:50 had a 3.5 yo 6pt with no brows come in, he was on our shoot list last year but never saw him. Wife was gearing up for her first buck. It was getting dark and the wind was howling 25+ mph so the deer were a little jumpy. He never would stay still long enough for her to get comfortable and he ended up leaving before she got a shot. One of my most exciting hunts in a couple years though.

Cant wait to get back after em.

Drama is something relatively new to my life it began with marriage and has grown with children!

It was a blast for me.

I hear you, always hope for the "good" kind LOL

BTW, the buck fight was worth the trip, always enjoy watching them get it on.
