I know it's hunting season and all, but who else is ready for 3D competitions to start back up? I miss it.

Last year was my first time and I'm ready for ASA to start back up.

Me! I haven't shot in about three years and I'm really looking forward to it. I'll be shooting trad, too.

I quit shooting competition (bow, pistol and rife) many years ago. I recently gave of tournament bass fishing. Now it's all for fun, food and peace of mind.

I work hard, drink a little and hunt when I can.

I understand. To me the fun is the competition.

I love the competition part of it as well. Don't get me wrong, I'll have a good time either way but I love competing.

Anyone know of any tournaments coming up soon after the season ends?

I did too. But I quit softball after destroying my right shoulder at 48 years old. Fishing seems just about the money anymore and there is a lot of cheating and unethical behavior involved. The energy it takes to compete is not infinite and I just like to put that energy elsewhere now.

Still miss it now and then though.

Competition is awesome I competed on a pro level for years shot for just about every major bow company and really miss it a lot. I met some life long friends in archery. I don't miss the requirements or my bow sponsors but the experiences I received from years of competition will forever be branded in my heart. Had to give it up due to a car crash three years ago that screwed up my balance. I still shoot (trad only now)don't know if I'll ever compete again. I just have too many irons in the fire now. I found all this new time I had once I quit competing at the level I was shooting at. The hours I spent shooting hundreds of arrows daily and traveling on week ends, not to mention do the trade shows with the my sponsors.
