First day of duck/goose tomorrow in pinckneyville illinois.
Drove through arkansas and was surprised to see the low bird count. It was heavy rain and very low clouds, so not ideal scouting conditions. Only saw 2 fields with 3000 snows on it south west of Alicia. As far as ducks goes, tons of ducks on the cypress refuge in southern illinois, but thats about it. There is soooo much water in arkansas and all fields were flooded. there were 10 mallards in fields scattered around every 10 miles or so. They have too much choice. Also Saw way more cottonfields compared to last year...
