Tuesday-Wednesday I saw 4 bucks chasing does, every other doe I saw was as nervous as a long tail cat in a room full of rocking chairs. The weather changed Wednesday and things slowed down but when I went by the processor in Breckenridge to pick up the meat from a doe I shot last week they must have had 15+ deer hanging on the rack outside.

Sounds good.

Hunted Southwest Stephens county on friday night / saturday morning. Neither me or my buddy saw anything but squirrels and rabbits.

It was a little dissapointing to say the least!

Once the North wind quit blowing their movement on our place came to a screeching halt. We didn't even try to hunt Sat. morning.

We are on the south end of Stephen's County and this has been the worst year, by far, for seeing deer and almost no mature bucks. I am not sure what happened but the deer just seemed to have disappeared.
Last year was a good year for us but this year has been terrible so far. We thought it would pick up with the colder weather but no luck this past week with only a few deer even being seen, let alone any good bucks.
