Got my muddy azz senderos corned up, 30 acre wheat field to my back and the feeder just went off. Cloudy and cool, expecting great things.

Deer moved really good this morning. I am finally getting some rain now and if it lets up, I will head out. If not I will hunt from the house and watch the feeder in front Good luck.

I should have road a sled down here to the pecan orchard with all this mud....let's see what happens. Buddy of mine got a nice ten last weekend and said his neck was swole up and his hocks were rank. If anybody else would have told me that love was in the air this early, I wouldn't have believed them.

I'm n the blind there was deffinately a period I should have been 8n this AM and I'm hoping the radar is right and it let's up about 5 so I jumped in and told myself that I can't shoot em if I'm watching TV inside the house.

Signs of life, buck just showed up. I know him though, nice 10pt, maybe next year.

Young 8 just showed up.

Well, had a doe and her twins come in about 30 minutes before dark and feed for a bit. One of the twins was a button buck. Then right at dark had a nice buck come out at about 100 yards but, I was bow hunting.

I had 2 bucks and 10 slicks. The buck I'm looking for didn't show.

Back at it this morning but in a different stand. Cool 43 degrees with light fog. Moon was bright all night.

I am hunting from the house blind this morning got computer and TV. 60 deg and steady rain all night long.

Skies are clearing on Erath/Hood co line been seeing lots of deer but a few bucks have been killed by cousins of mine in this spot I sure hope the big one is still around here I was gonna go to my ranch in Hood co but I was running late this morning but mabey this spot will pay off again.

Had a legal 8 under the feeder when I got in the stand. Turkeys makung plenty of noise.

Slow so far. 6pt, 2 cottontails, 2 Jackrabbits and about 2 limits of Dove.

Well so far two does then natures idiots showed up and ran them off I guess it's just part of that struggle between hunters and cattle, personally I can't stand cattle I just can't respect a species that allowed itself to be domesticated just to be slaughtered as food the only good thing that comes from cattle is hamburgers and cheese and that's only good with some bacon.


Crap now I'm hungry

I move all my cattle to a pasture we don't hunt till season is over. I had 2 doe and a fawn show up. Slow morning, deer must have fed all night.
